Law for Society Registration

Selection of Name for Society
Drafting of MOA with rules & Regulations
The Memorandum along with rules & rules of society should be signed by each member and witness by notary public, gazette officer, oath commissioner, advocate, accountant or justice 1st class. This must additionally contain details of members of the society registration along with their complete info like name, designation, address and occupation.
Registration Of Society
The registrar of societies are then approached with an application along with the signed MOA, by rules, affidavits and KYC documents of desirous person and officials. After verification of documents the Certificate of Registration of Society is issued.
PAN, TAN And Bank A/C
After registering the company, the next step is to apply for the assignment of the Pan number and TAN, then open an A/C bank for the collection of membership fees, subscription fees or donations, as the case may be.

Minimum 7 people are required to form a Society Registration
Main purpose to form a society is social welfare like promotion of education, health, employment in society etc. Society registration will be treated as NGO under the societies registration act, 1860.
Societies are similar in character to trusts, although there a few essential differences. When we talk about membership, only 2 people will be allowed to form a trust whereas in society, minimum 7 members are required.
